Admin Curation

My client wanted the homepage to be manually curated. Seeing as the app does not use a CMS, I built an admin section where he can manage featured sellers and products, along with stat and section visibility.

Each step pairs a heading and description with a decorative 3D preview of the Equivox UI. Those previews are skipped in screen reader navigation and are not interactive for assistive technology—the text beside each preview is authoritative.

Storefront

The admin dashboard's storefront section is the homepage's control panel. Admins can control category order in grids and headers, which categories are primary, which stats should be visible, stat values, and featured listings.

Featured products and sellers use a drag and drop editor for ordering and lookup, and save when ready. Stats and trust indicators have toggleable visibility to avoid boasting stats we don't currently have, but know will be implemented in the future (such as payments and delivery).

Categories

This is a straightforward builder to create or deactivate categories. To avoid the many complexities of dynamically translated user-generated content, categories have explicit English/French input fields for title and description. This is indeed not very scalable if we want to add more languages, but I believe it's an adequate solution for the current scale and scope of the project.

Categories are soft deleted by deactivating, in which products from a deactivated category are still listed on seller pages, but not discoverable in buyer-facing browse. New products evidently cannot be created under a hidden category.

Markets

Buyers pick a market (city/region) from the header. Browse results and featured content prioritizes sellers and products in that market. Purchases happen externally, so having sellers that are relevant and local to where you live is important.

Admins create markets with bilingual names, similar to the categories, and can set a default market for the platform. Simply said, markets are region-scoped soft filters.
